Dakota on the move

Dakota is a young man on the move. What really impressed me about him is his philanthropy work. Born Ntobeko Ngcobo in Claremont, KZN. He is currently an ambassador for ‘Show me your number’, an HIV/AIDS and Social development campaign started by soccer player agent and administrator, Mabhalane Mfundisi; on this project Dakota has worked closely with soccer legends such as Thabang Lebese, Ronie Zondi, Bruce Ramogadi; the aim is to encouraging young people to test for HIV/AIDS as well as HIV/AIDS prevention.

Dakota is also a member of a Campaign called Ubododa Abukhulelwa aimed at grooming young men to become real responsible men in our society.

Dakota’s current project is called Destiny, the title Destiny reflects on all the difficulties that he has endured in the music industry. He has his tracks being regularly featured in one of the most watched TV drama series in SA called Zone14; which is aired on SABC 1 every Monday and Wednesday. Dakota’s songs, Kwath' angibhenge, Umdans' ofanyo, Can’t Take it no more are already enjoying a lot of airplay on South African Radio stations and clubs, On this current project he has worked with a number of talented producers and artists: Nkosinathi Dollar Xaba (who has also produced for Dj Bongs, Twitty and many more), Thuthukani Luthuli, G Gang, Judith Somhlaba, Gun man and Dust Nkosi (Dustinity Records).

Catch Dakota’s debut on the Kwaito Hott 99 on YFM every Wednesday @ 9am – 10am with a repeat @ 9pm.
